College of the Rockies Degree

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
in Sustainable Business Practices

This is a four-year program that integrates social, economic and environmental theories and applications for sustainable business practices in a wide variety of fields. The program includes liberal arts and laboratory sciences in addition to specific business functions such as accounting or marketing.

Associate Degrees

Associate of Arts Degree
The College of the Rockies Associate of Arts (AA) degree is equivalent to the first two years of a bachelor’s degree in Arts. Students can choose to complete an AA degree in General Studies or in Journalism / Writing. Students are encouraged to consult with an Education Advisor prior to course selection.

Associate of Science Degree
The College of the Rockies Associate of Science (ASc) degree is equivalent to the first two years of a bachelor’s degree in Science. Students can choose to complete an ASc degree in General Studies or in Environmental Sciences.  Students are encouraged to consult with an Education Advisor prior to course selection.

Dual Admission Degree Programs

Universtiy of Lethbridge Logo

University of Lethbridge
If you’re looking to attend or transfer to the University of Lethbridge to earn a Bachelor degree in Arts or Science, this is a great option for you.  Just fill out one application form, meet the qualifications for both institutions, and be accepted as a student at both the College and Ulethbridge.  Current high school students, first-year College of the Rockies students and mature students are all eligible to apply.

University of Victoria
This is a great option students who wish to earn a Bachelor degree in Arts or Science at the University of Victoria.  Current high school students can apply for dual admission – fill out one application form, meet the qualifications for both institutions, and be accepted as a student at both the College and UVic.  This also applies for the highly-sought Engineering program. Current College students can apply for guaranteed admission into select UVic programs.

Partnership Degree Programs

Bachelor of Education
The University of Victoria, in association with the College of the Rockies in Cranbrook, offers a full-time teacher education program leading to certification and degrees in elementary education. This program provides Kootenay residents a unique opportunity to gain a Bachelor of Education degree while remaining close to home.

Bachelor of Science Nursing
COTR, in co-operation with local hospitals and agencies, offers five semesters and two consolidated practice experiences of the CAEN Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program with direct block transfer to the University of Victoria for three semesters. Semester six is offered by the University of Victoria at our Cranbrook Campus.

University Transfer Opportunities

We also have agreements in place to allow you to transfer course credits to a number of institutions in BC, Alberta, across Canada, and internationally. You can choose to transfer credits individually or, in some cases, as an entire two-year block.
