2007-08 Avalanche Awards

Men's Awards

Anton Louden - receives the award for Rookie of the Year. Louden finished second overall in the province in the Blocks per game category, averaging .79/game.

Mike Clark - receives the Most Improved Player Award. Clark was 13th overall in the league in Blocks per game with .53/game.

Dan Metcalf - is awarded the Avalanche Award. This award is given to the player who best exemplifies the volleyball program. This student-athlete displays a high degree of dedication, sportsmanship, and discipline on the court while balancing their educational goals in the classroom.

Blake Giles - takes home his second Most Valuable Player award in as many seasons. Blake was second overall in the league in aces (.8/game), 12th overall in digs (1.74/game) and 1oth overall in kills (2.84/game).

Blake Giles - takes home the 1st Team Provincial All Star Award.

Dan Metcalf - is awarded the BCCAA Academic Excellence Award. Ryan Hilton, not pictured, also received the honours.

Women's Awards

Brooke Moncrief - receives the Rookie of the Year award from Head Coach Lisa Ramsey.

Anna van Goudoever - is awarded the Most Improved Player award.

Katy Koots - is awarded the Avalanche Award. This award is given to the player who best exemplifies the volleyball program. This student-athlete displays a high degree of dedication, sportsmanship, and discipline on the court while balancing their educational goals in the classroom.

Brittany Harkess - receives the Most Valuable Player award.
